Low level shakeout deck for resin sand reclamation is a vibrating separation machine used in no-bake resin sand foundries. It breaks apart resin-bonded sand lumps and separates castings from sand at a low installation height, making it easy to integrate into workshops without deep pits.
What Is a Low Level Shakeout Deck for Resin Sand Reclamation?
A low level shakeout deck is a vibration-based separation platform used after castings have cooled. Its main job is to shake out and break down resin-bonded sand lumps so the used sand can be sent into the resin sand reclamation system for reuse.
It performs three main functions:
1. Casting–Sand Separation
Vibrations loosen and separate the casting from the resin-bonded sand.
Sand drops through the deck slots while the casting moves forward.
2. Sand Lump Breakdown
High-frequency vibrations break hard, chemically bonded sand lumps into smaller particles.
This prepares the sand for mechanical, magnetic, or thermal reclamation.
3. Low-Height Installation
Designed with a low profile, it can be installed at floor level or with a very shallow pit, unlike traditional deep-pit shakeout machines.
Suitable for foundries with limited building height.
